Your Investment
Travel:
I will travel to your location within 30-miles of Laurelville for no additional fees. For ceremony locations over 30-miles away, travel is charged at $1 per mile. Ceremonies more than 100-miles from Laurelville are subject to the same travel fee of $1 per mile, and may also be subject to lodging expenses for an overnight stay.
Rehearsals:
Unless you’re having a full-sized wedding with a large wedding party, 75+ guests, and many moving parts- ceremony rehearsals aren’t always necessary. I would be happy to help ensure your ritual flows smoothly, but rehearsals are always optional. If you would like me to attend a virtual ceremony rehearsal, an additional fee of $100 applies. For in-person ceremony rehearsals within 30-miles of Laurelville, an additional fee of $200 applies. In-person rehearsals over 30-miles away, are additionally subject to travel fees of $1 per mile.
Rush Job:
Need a last minute officiant? If you would like to hire me to write a custom ceremony for you within two (2) weeks of your ceremony date, there is an additional charge of 20% of the total cost of the contract. This allows you to cut in line on the schedule. Does not apply to No Bull- Sign & File packages.
Location Scouting/Advisement:
Never been to the Hocking Hills area and looking for the ideal outdoor spot to recite your vows? I’ve lived and hiked here for most of my life. General suggestions are free, but I’m also more than happy to do some location scouting and send you photographs. I gear up and track down the perfect spot for your ceremony by considering your story, the visual impact of photographs, space, lights, sounds, surroundings, weather conditions, and logistics like parking, accessibility, and facilities. Flat rate is $200 for each location within 30-miles of Laurelville. Location scouting over 30-miles away, is subject to additional travel fees of $1 per mile. Rate includes a detailed report, up to 25 photographs, and advise or next steps for securing a desired location.
*All fees for travel, rehearsals, rush jobs, add-ons, and location scouting/advisement will be calculated, invoiced, and paid in full by the client(s) prior to any related travel or activity.
I offer 5-10 min of Guided Breathwork, Guided Meditation, and/or Reiki Energy Tune-ups for each partner before the ceremony (day-of) if requested- for free. This provides an opportunity to really settle into the moment and be mindful and present for yourself and your partner.
To have a wedding at a Hocking Hills park (Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, etc.) you must get a permit.
If you would like to get married at Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, or any of the other Hocking Hills parks, you must obtain a permit. Call the park office at (740) 385-6842 extension 250 for details on obtaining a wedding permit or visit the online portal on the ODNR website.
Following your ceremony, it is your responsibility to make sure the park areas utilized during the ritual are in a condition at least as good as the area was prior to your special event. You pack it in, you pack it out.

You fill out the contact form.We schedule a consultation.I send you a ceremony outline. You sign a contract and pay the deposit.I write a fully customized, unique-to-you ceremony that you and your partner helped to create. We go over the draft and do any final edits to perfect your ceremony. You pay the remaining contract fee.We have a final run down before the big day via video consultation.I arrive 30-60 mins before the ceremony.I perform and officiate your personalized wedding ceremony.I sign, file, and follow up with your marriage license.
The Nutmeat*:
1. It all begins with an email.
Click the ‘connect’ button at the bottom of any page, and use the contact form to reach out. I will follow up by email within 3-5 business days (Monday-Friday) and we can schedule either:
a ‘Test the Water’ video chat or phone call to briefly discuss your vision and answer any questions;
or we can ‘Dive In’ to planning your ceremony by scheduling a video consultation or in-person meet up (local only) to start brainstorming and discuss all the details, including the stories and intentions we will infuse into your ceremony.
2. Before our scheduled “Dive In” consultation, I will send out a couple of questionnaires and surveys for you and your partner to fill out and return. During our meeting, I’ll ask you a lot of questions about your experiences together and history to get to know you as a couple.
We’ll run through all the parts of the ceremony and discuss any ideas, intentions, or sentiments you’d like to add to make your ceremony an authentic experience filled with joy and personal meaning. This is also your opportunity to discuss any expectations you may have about your ceremony and to see if I’m a good fit to write and perform it for you.
3. After the “Dive In”, I send you an outline of the ceremony we have begun to create together. Should you and your partner want to officially hire me, you will sign a contract and pay a retainer deposit of 50% of the contract fee. This guarantees my services for your date and time, and includes a custom written draft of your ceremony, plus guidance and consulting throughout your planning process.
4. I begin writing a draft of your ceremony and remain in contact with you and your partner throughout. I will have a full ceremony drafted for you between 14-30 days before your wedding. Due to the nature of the creative process, the timeline for custom writing can be a bit wibbly-wobbly. You will have a chance to perfect your ceremony with any final edits, suggestions, or requests at this time. The remaining contract balance is due in full 2 weeks prior to your ceremony.
5. We will have one last video consultation during the week leading up to your wedding, to briefly walkthrough your ceremony, verify time and location, and go over any last logistics. You can also choose to book me for a full ceremony rehearsal, if you think it’s necessary to ensure your day runs smoothly.
6. The day-of, I arrive on site 30-60 mins before the ceremony start time. I’ll collaborate with members of your wedding team to ensure the day goes according to plan. I perform the personalized wedding ceremony we created together complete with readings, vows, unity rituals, and all the symbolism you asked for. After the ceremony, I take care of any paperwork and make a quiet exit while you celebrate. I then mail in your marriage license and follow up until it’s certified, and you are legally married.
*yes, this IS what the inside kernel of a nut is called…makes me giggle a little, too.Travel Fees | Extras
